The following information aims to give candidates advice with
their assignments that are undertaken on behalf of GB Recruitment.
AVAILABILITY
In order to assist us in finding you suitable placements we encourage
all candidates to contact the office regularly to provide us
with their current availability. Suitable roles will be relayed
to you by telephone or email as you prefer as soon as possible
for your convenience.
Whilst at a school, should you be requested to work on additional
dates, then please call us to let us know in order that we can
update your plan and payroll.
If for whatever reason you are unable to fulfill a placement then
we would appreciate if you could contact the office at your earliest
convenience in order that we may secure additional cover.
ARRIVING AT YOUR NEW PLACEMENT
Prior to the placement your consultant will have provided you with
the relevant information regarding the school, contact details,
etc that you are due to teach in. Please ensure that you arrive
early at the school, planning your route the night before in
order to avoid any traffic hotspots, or if using public transport,
make sure that you are aware of the potential connection times
for buses etc.
PLANNING AND PREPARATION OF WORK
Although the school may have advised your consultant that the work
is planned for the day it is always advisable to take additional
work relevant to your class/key stage that you are teaching for
the day. GB has additional resources at our Newcastle Office
should you require any up-to-date materials, as well as an excellent
source of on-line websites for this purpose.
AT THE END OF YOUR DAY.
Please ensure that all work is marked, classroom left tidy and feel
free to leave any comments regarding the class/pupils for the class
teacher either in the classroom or with the administration staff.
