HOW TO CONSTRUCT THE PERFECT CV

Having a relevant and up-to date CV is essential if you are to get the job you want. However what makes the perfect CV and stand out from the hundreds of other applicants.

Over the years we have seen every layout imaginable – so here are a few pointers in making your CV stand out from the crowd.

  • Keep your CV to a total a maximum of 2/3 sides of A4
  • Check formatting, spelling and grammar  e.g. there is nothing worse that seeing “Moths Teacher” or “Leturer” on a CV
  • Keep the experiences relevant to the position – most schools don’t want to know about your part-time jobs within the leisure industry they are more interested in the teaching practice/voluntary work that you have undertaken
  • Don’t exaggerate
